Wellness on Wheels (WOW)

We are collaborating with Mower County Health and Human Services to bring essential health services directly to rural Mower County communities and Austin. Our mobile unit will visit various locations to offer health screenings, education, and vital resource information.

Our next event is July 23 at the Adams Emergency Services Building from 2-5 p.m.

We will also be at the Mower County Fair on Aug. 8 and 10 from noon to 7 p.m. outside the Plager Building.

Celebrating Wellness and Survivorship

Eventgoers will have the opportunity to participate in a community survey to offer feedback for future events and informational needs. The event is on October 5, 2024, at The Hormel Institute. Come any time between 3 and 5 p.m.

The event will have information on programs currently happening to learn more while serving as an opportunity to learn about needs in this area for our community. We will also feature research happening at The Hormel Institute for people to learn about our research as well as a chance to practice wellness through music with performer Philip Daniel, a Nebraska native.

Local organizations in attendance will offer valuable information and resources. Engage in conversations, meet researchers, and learn about the research taking place at The Hormel Institute.
