About The Event

The Ribbon Research Open is a way for friends and family to remember or honor their loved ones impacted by cancer through a golf event, raising funds to support research without having to do the organizing of a tournament on their own.

We will come together each year for the Ribbon Research Open, having a great day on the course for a cause to accelerate answers to cancer.

A History Of Golfing For A Cure

The Ribbon Research Open was inspired by the hope to continue the generous, lasting legacy of many tournaments that have occurred over the years to help raise awareness and support for cancer research at The Hormel Institute.

What sets the Ribbon Research Open apart is that it helps raise money for all cancer at The Hormel Institute, from lung to prostate to breast and more. No matter what type of cancer you want to help support, you can do it by participating in the Research Ribbon Open.

Whether you want to help sponsor this event, put together a team, or just enjoy a day on the green, there are many ways to participate in the Ribbon Research Open.

The best part – all money raised during the event goes to The Hormel Institute and, thanks to the support of The Hormel Foundation, 100% of funds received is used exclusively for cancer research.

Make An Impact

If you’re unable to attend the event but still want to support cancer research at The Hormel Institute, you can donate to us directly

While our General Research Fund, which supports research that benefits the overall mission of the Institute, is the best way to support our work, there are many funds and passion areas for you to choose from.
